Just finished looking through a bunch of your other work. Wow! Great stuff. On this, I'm really loving the clouds and atmosphere. The pond and lilies are lovely. For me, the star of this piece is the background and supporting elements. As for the big blob creature, I get the intention, but I think this guy's far too clean to be living in a swamp/pond. I'd like to see some lillies attached to his shoulders, some algae or fungus growing around his back or stomach. And maybe a little more 'junk' should have collected around his legs. Good stuff.

Killer, killer, killer water and lily pads! Amazing character, too, of course. I could go for a more generous crop at the top (his head seems a bit scrunched in there), and the clouds strike me as a touch rough compared to the sheer gloriousness of the water. Oy, that water is just... *swoon*

I voted on this a while back, but never commented. I just wanted to correct that now... The element of this painting that stands out the most to me aside from the actual concept and colours being superb, is how well you rendered the water lillies (well I guess just lily pads). They have an almost photographic 3-D feel to them, and for you to achieve that in any prog, let alone painter is just insane to me. Overall it's just a great piece to look at, though I wouldn't mind seeing him with bigger manboobs... my personal preference there though eheh I gave you my top marks already ~cheers~

Great background...just beautifully painted. He's a cool character as well but there's something about him that doesn't quite work for me...I think it's possibly his head, it's size and the angle we view it from don't give us a sense of his huge scale. Still a nice piece though..it's drawn me back for several viewings!

Great work, just wanted to point out a little thing though. The water is great as mentioned before, but it appears you made a slight error as the water is reflecting blue sky and the sky itself is orange. Lilly pads indeed are awesome.

That character is just GREAT! I like the contrast between the red sky and the green water. And the texture difference too, cloudy sky - calm water. It's like the poor guy is standing in the water, watching the world burn around him. Is that why he's sad? Excellent use of colour, very expressive face. Top marks
